Bailey is a house cat. There are too many things around here that can make an outdoor cat's life too short.
Bailey just loves being inside. Our house is pretty big we have a cellar, first floor, second floor and attic that he can roam in. He isn't a good mouser! Our other cat Pearl is though! She doesn't have the personality Bailey does! We did have the sweetest cat - a white Manx with one blue eye and one gold eye! Opal was just the sweetest and cutest cat! She passed away last year, she was only 2 1/2 years old.
We don't know why. Our cats eat good food and always have fresh water. She was fine in the morning and then I found her dead in my downstairs office! A few friends that I consider knowledgeable about cats say she could have had a heart attact!

a handsome cat!

here is Bailey about 4 years ago. What a face!
In Bailey’s words…
Hi, I’m a cat and I know how to use a Mouse!

My name is Bailey, I was born in the country side of New York state in 2004 and ended up in a shelter in Massachusetts.
Rolf and Susan had lost their white cat Yoda, who was born in their house and was a great pet. They were lonely for another white cat. They had Yoda for 17 years! From what I head them say about Yoda, he was a pretty smart cat. Here are 2 stories I overheard them telling friends. They had some bats living in the eves of their house and didn't know it. One morning as the bats were flying in formation and going in uner the eves of the roof, Yoda woke them up, by tapping his paw on Susan’s shoulder to wake her up, when she opened her eyes Yoda make some funny noises and ran into the bathroom, then back to the bedroom, still making funny noises! Susan knew Yoda was telling her something so she followed him to the bathroom window and saw the bats, she woke up Rolf and she, Rolf and Yoda watched the bats fly in a formation and then land and go under the eves of the house. The other story is somehow Yoda was able to get one of his toys into the floor register and it landed on top of the furnace, but Rolf couldn’t get it out. They had to call a repairman. When the repairman came to get the toy out of the heating system, he noticed a crack in the lining of the furnace. At that time both Rolf & Susan were having headaches, but didn’t know why. The repairman said it was from the fumes from the crack in the furnace, and if left unnoticed was dangerous.

…Now more about Bailey
While in the shelter I was hanging out with this white cat, Pearl. ! I am a handsome Tuxedo cat! When Susan & Rolf came to the shelter they wanted Pearl, but because Pearl and I were buddies they decided to take me too. Lucky me!
I wanted these folks to like me as much as Pearl, so I got cute! Pearl has no real great personality so it was easy! I would play baseball, and plinky and fetch with them, yea cats can fetch, they just don’t want to! But I really wanted these folks to love me, as I said, so I just got so cute! …….Check out my video soon to come!
I was so cute that I got a job as moral officer for their business
http://www.wedding-magnets.com/.
Now it’s my full time job to make sure they are happy folks. I really do like playing all the time, sometimes they say I am pesty – and they tell me they can’t play because they have to work, so I just have to play with Pearl or Opal, (Opal is another cat story to be told in the future) the other cats in the house.

Rolf is teaching me to make a blog, he wants me to be a geeka (female geek)
This blog will be about living my life with husband and 3 cats in the country.
This is my story about how I got to love cats! At one time I was so allergic to them!
Then we bought a house in the country and we had mice.....and need I say more.
Cats do get rid of mice!
